Overview
JINGKELIAN QND-4D Portable Viscometer is a hand-held coated 4 viscosity cup with a handle, in line with the national standard GB1723, and designed in stainless steel. The Viscometer is suitable for industries such as Coatings, paints, varnishes, inks, etc. It is a workshop control test instrument. The viscosity is determined as the conditional viscosity, that is, the time it takes for a certain amount of sample to flow out of a specified diameter hole at a certain temperature.

Principle
The QND-4D Portable Viscometer is designed and manufactured according to the QB1723-79 standard. The conditional viscosity is determined by the measurement of the time it takes for a certain amount of specimen to flow out of a specified diameter hole at a certain temperature. The outflow time is proportional to the viscosity of the liquid. The longer the time, the higher the viscosity.

Steps
1. Before the test, check whether the connection of the handle beam is reliable and whether it rotates freely
2. Wipe the inside of the viscosity cup with gauze or absorbentcottonph dipped in the sample solvent, especially the outlet part, to ensure cleanliness
3. Immerse the instrument in the liquid of the tested sample, lift the lifting beam with one finger to quickly leave the liquid surface and start the stopwatch timing
4. When the middle of the sample silk and the first drop is presented, stop the stopwatch and record the outflow time
5. The same liquid should be measured three times to calculate the arithmetic average. The difference between each measurement should not be greater than 3% of the average.
6. After use, wash and wipe it clean and store it.
Notice
• Reliability of lifting beam connection must be checked before test
• The inside of the viscosity cup, especially the outlet, must be thoroughly cleaned
• Determination should be carried out at 25 +/- 0.1 ℃ Ambient Temperature
• The same liquid needs to be measured three times to take the average value
The difference between each measurement should not be greater than 3% of the average value.
• It must be cleaned and properly stored after use
