Principle
The HM-600A Digital Transmission Black and white densitometer is used to measure the amount of light transmitted through transparent materials (such as soft sheet substrates) to determine the amount of light absorbed by the surface. The instrument is mainly composed of an illumination system, a light acquisition and measurement system, and a signal processing system. It uses an AC modulated Illuminant to provide a stable Illuminant. The photoelectric Sensor receives the amount of light transmitted through the tested negative and converts it into an electrical signal. After signal processing, it is sent to the microcontroller, and finally the density value of the negative is displayed on the display.

Steps
1. Turn it on.
2. Press the zero correction button to adjust the zero.
3. Align the measurement point with the LED positioning halo for formal testing.
