Overview
The ZQ-II Conical Mandrel Bending Tester is a device used to test coating resilience by bending metal substrates under a set radius to evaluate film ductility and adhesion under bending stress. The instrument is simple and fast to operate and checks for cracking, flaking or Miscellaneous damage by bending a coating plate on a cone of known diameter.
Features
1. Made of anodic oxidation aluminum, strong durability.
2. Test plates with a width of 200mm and a thickness of not more than 1.5mm.
3. Equipped with stainless steel cones, with diameters ranging from 3.2mm to 38mm.
Principle
The tester observes the damage of the paint film by placing the coating test plate on a cone of known diameter and bending it after applying stress. The bending process bends the Testing substrate to 180 ° with uniform force within 15 seconds to evaluate the resilience performance of the coating.
Applications
Coating resilience test, film adhesion assessment
Standards
GB/T 11185-2009、ISO 6819、ISO 6860、ASTM D 522、ASTM D 1737
Steps
1. Cover the film with soft paper to protect the film from cone friction damage.
2. Insert the test plate between the cone and the fixed shaft rod, and lock the test plate tightly.
3. Test substrate is bent to 180 ° with uniform force within 15 seconds.
4. Take out the test plate, observe the damage of the paint film, and make corresponding marks according to the ruler.
5. Determine the level of paint film resistance to conical bending according to the corresponding standards.
Notice
• When operating, cover the film with soft paper to prevent friction damage.
The bending process should be completed with uniform force within 15 seconds.
• After taking out the test plate, carefully check the damage of the paint film and judge against the standard.
