Overview
The NDJ-79 rotational viscometer is a precision instrument from the JINGKELIAN brand for the measurement of absolute viscosity of Newtonian liquids and apparent viscosity of non-Newtonian liquids. The instrument eliminates the No. 1 measurement group to provide more accurate measurement results, with the advantages of easy use, stable performance and simple maintenance.
Features
1. Measurement range, suitable for viscosity range of 2~ 1000000mPa · s.
2. Adopt pointer display for intuitive reading.
3. Provide two measuring rotor groups II and III and corresponding containers to adapt to different viscosity liquids.
4. With multi-speed (7.5/75/750rpm), flexible choice.
5. Structural design optimization, cancelled the practical value of the No. 1 measurement group, more in line with Measurement requirements.
Principle
The NDJ-79 rotational viscometer is based on the swirl/spin method for viscosity measurement. The motor drives the rotor to swirl/spin at a uniform speed in the liquid to be measured. The Tack resistance moment received by the rotor is transmitted through the coupling and drives the pointer to deflect. The viscosity value of the liquid can be calculated by measuring the resistance moment and multiplying it by the factor of the corresponding rotor. For high viscosity liquids, the speed reduction can be used with the reducer to extend the range.
Applications
Suitable for measuring the viscosity of various fluids such as grease, paints, inks, Coatings, plastics, slurries, rubber, latex, detergent, Resin, torch milk, cream, cosmetics, etc. Widely used in Spinning & weaving, chemical, petroleum, electromechanical, food, light industry, construction and other industries and laboratories of Universities & colleges, R & D institutions, and lathe departments.
Steps
1. Measurement group II (higher viscosity) Determination: Inject the tested liquid into the test container to the flush edge of the lower part of the conical surface, immerse the drum in the liquid and hang it on the coupling to ensure that the rotor is fully immersed. Place the container on the bracket, turn on the motor, move the container to make the rotor concentric, and read after the pointer is stable. For measurement of higher viscosity (> 10000mPa · s), a 1:10 or 1:100 reducer can be installed.
2. The third measurement group (low viscosity) measurement: the steps are the same as the second measurement group, but cannot be used with the reducer.
3. Reducer installation: Sleeve the input shaft hole of the reducer into the motor shaft, fix it on the end of the thin rod behind the motor shaft with knurled bolts, and keep it horizontal. Tighten the coupling on the output shaft of the reducer, check and zero.
Notice
• This instrument is suitable for normal temperature environment.
• It should be used within the specified frequency, voltage and tolerance range, otherwise it may affect the accuracy and need to be corrected if necessary.
• If the motor switch is not started in time, it should be turned off immediately and then restarted.
• The motor should not be used continuously for a long time (generally no more than 4 hours).
• The instrument has been precisely calibrated before leaving the factory, please do not disassemble and assemble at will.
• After measurement, the measurement vessel and rotor should be cleaned in time and kept drying. The U-shaped spring hanging ring of the rotor of the measurement groups II and III can be pulled out for cleaning.
• When disassembling and assembling the coupling, do not use too much force. Insert the insert rod first, and then load and unload the knurled nut (inverted thread).
• When not using the instrument, please unplug the power socket to avoid damage to the transformer after being powered on for a long time.
