Overview
The JINGKELIAN QAG Paints sag tester uses a coating scraper to prepare strip-like wet-films of different film thicknesses on a Glass test plate, and immediately places them vertically in a state of "upper thin and lower thick". After the film thickness is observed, its sag property is observed. The instrument is suitable for measuring the relative sag property of Paints, but not for the sag property test of varnish and powder coatings.
Features
1. Using a coating scraper to prepare strip wet-films of different film thicknesses
2. It can be placed vertically in the state of "thin on the top and thick on the bottom" to observe the sag property
3. The result is expressed as the maximum thickness of the film without sagging
4. Dedicated to Paints sagging
Principle
Glass by coating scraper in different thicknesses of strip-like wet-film, immediately placed vertically to form a "thin under thick" layer distribution, to be observed after film thickness curing film sag condition, to determine the maximum film thickness value does not produce sag.
Applications
Paints sagging determination
Steps
1. Use a coating scraper to prepare strip wet-films of different film thicknesses on Glass test plates
2. Immediately place the test plate vertically in a state of "thin on the top and thick on the bottom"
3. Observe film sagging after film thickness curing
4. Record the maximum film thickness value without sagging
Notice
• Not suitable for sagging test of varnish and powder coatings
• Test conditions should be controlled at temperature 23 +/- 2 ℃, relative humidity 50 +/- 5%
• Glass panel size should be 200 × 120 × (2~ 3) mm
• The film thickness range is 50~ 675 μm, Graduation is 25 μm
