Overview
The Sheet Tear Strength Tester is a test instrument of the LABO brand, mainly used for the measurement of the Tear Strength of various types of Tobacco Sheet, Paper or Cardboard. It is based on the Elmendorf tearing principle and is also suitable for testing the tearing performance of Plastic films, Composite films, Sheets, Spinning & weaving products and non-woven fabrics.
Features
Using High Accuracy Angle Sensor, the resolution reaches 0.1mN, the test accuracy error is within +/- 1%, which is one of the highest accuracy Tear Strength instrument in China.
2. Users can use their own weight for indication verification to ensure measurement reliability.
3. The attached weighing weight can be easily calibrated at any time, and the built-in pendulum shaft friction compensation device can reduce the influence of friction on the test and make the results more accurate and stable.
4. LCD Chinese display, friendly man-machine interface, fully automatic test completion, with data statistical processing function and micro-printer output.
5. Automatic pendulum release control and automatic memory and display of results, reducing human error, easy operation, and stable and correct results.
6. The instrument is equipped with a special calibrated weight and a built-in calibrating program, which is convenient for Measurement and calibrating departments (third parties) to calibrate the instrument.
Principle
The sheet Tear Strength meter works according to the Elmendorf tearing principle. The instrument uses the energy released by the pendulum to tear the pre-cut specimen, and measures the force required to tear the specimen to calculate the Tear Strength of the material.
Applications
Tobacco Flakes, Paper, Cardboard, Plastic films, Composite films, Flakes, Spinning & weaving products, Non-woven fabrics
Standards
GB/T455、ISO1974、TAPPI 414
Steps
1. Prepare the sample and make incisions as required.
2. Hold the specimen correctly between the clamps.
3. Set or confirm the test parameters through the Chinese LCD screen interface.
4. Start the test, and the instrument automatically releases the pendulum to complete the tearing process.
5. After the test is completed, the instrument automatically displays and memorizes the results.
6. Test data can be output through a micro-printer, or data statistical processing functions can be used.
Notice
Please read the instruction manual carefully before use.
Make sure the power supply is AC220V 50Hz and connected correctly.
• Regularly calibrate using the included calibration weight or self-assigned weight to ensure instrument accuracy.
• When calibrating, enter the calibrating test program and screw the calibrating weight into the calibrating screw hole for operation.
• Note that the distance between the clamps and the length of the specimen incision must meet the standard requirements ((2.8 +/- 0.3) mm and (20 +/- 0.5) mm, respectively).
• Pay attention to shockproof and moisture-proof when transporting and storing the instrument. The standard transportation Encasement is a wooden box.
• Please follow the maintenance instructions for daily maintenance to prolong the service life of the instrument.
