Overview
The LABO LB-ZT1000 Crease Stiffness meter is a special instrument for the measurement of Cardboard and cardboard (such as cigarette cases) crease force (90 ° bounce force) and Cardboard stiffness (50 mm Cardboard bending 15 ° force). It adopts the static bending two-point loading test method. By measuring Cardboard stiffness and calculating the appropriate crease force ratio, it can effectively guide production and help set the crease force of Encasement equipment, thereby reducing problems such as weak gluing caused by improper crease force, improving production efficiency and product qualification rate.
Features
Using High Accuracy Force Sensor, the accuracy control is < 1%, better than the standard +/- 2%.
2. Multi-functional design of double chuck, which can not only measure Cardboard stiffness, but also measure Cardboard crease force, and can be quickly switched through the test interface button.
3. The test process is completed automatically, with data statistical processing capabilities and micro-printer output.
4. There is a special calibrating program inside the instrument, which is convenient for the Measurement or calibrating department to use the standard weight or force measuring device for indication accuracy calibrating.
Principle
The instrument uses a static bending two-point loading test method for measurement. For the crease force test, it is the measurement of the rebound force after the Cardboard is bent at 90 °; for the bending stiffness test, it is the measurement of the force required when the Cardboard of a specified length (such as 50mm) is bent to a set angle (such as 15 °). By measuring the stiffness of the Cardboard and based on a large number of test data, the stiffness and the proportional relationship between the crease force (MD direction is generally 1.5~ 3:1, CD direction is generally 3~ 7:1), the appropriate crease force range can be calculated to guide the production setting.
Applications
Cardboard production, carton (such as cigarette case) manufacturing, Encasement material testing, quality control
Standards
Crease force test: BS6965, bending stiffness test: GB/T22364 (method A), GB/T23144 (two point loading), QB/T1051, ISO5628, ISO2493, TAPPI T556, SCAN P29, DIN 53121, BS3748, NFQ03-048
Steps
1. According to the test requirements (crease force or bending stiffness), prepare the corresponding size of the sample (crease force: 36 × 38mm; stiffness: 70 × 38mm).
2. Turn on the power of the instrument and select the corresponding test mode (crease force test or bending stiffness test) through the Chinese measurement and control LCD screen.
3. Install the specimen correctly on the corresponding fixture.
4. Set relevant parameters on the test interface (such as bending angle of bending stiffness test, bending length, etc.).
5. Start the test, the instrument automatically completes the bending or creasing process and measurement of force value.
6. After the test is completed, check the screen to display the results, and output the data report through the micro printer.
Notice
The instrument power supply is AC220V, 50Hz, and must be reliably grounded to ensure safety.
Before testing, make sure that the sample size meets the requirements and is properly installed in the fixture.
* When performing the bending stiffness test, choose the appropriate bending length (50mm, 25mm or 10mm) and bending angle according to the standard or requirements.
The instrument should be placed on a stable working table to avoid vibration and impact.
* Regularly use the calibrating program built into the instrument or commission a third party to calibrate to ensure measurement accuracy.
* Non-professional personnel should not remove the instrument or Sensor safety cover.
After use, please turn off the power supply in time and do a good job of cleaning and maintaining the instrument.
