Overview
The LB-SL1000 Tear tester is a LABO brand product used to measure the Tear strength of test strips and sheet materials such as Plastic films, Composite films, Spinning & weaving products and non-woven fabrics. The instrument measures the average force required to continue tearing a pre-cut specimen to a certain length, expressed in mN, and supports tear index calculation. The instrument is equipped with an Optical inspection swirl/spin encoder for measurement of the swing angle position during tearing operation.
Features
1. High Accuracy Angle Sensor, resolution up to 0.1mN, test Precision error within +/- 1%, users can use their own weight for indication verification.
2. The attached weighing weight is easy to calibrate, and the built-in pendulum shaft friction compensation device reduces the friction effect and improves the accuracy and Stability of the result.
3. LCD Chinese display, friendly man-machine interface, fully automatic test, with data statistical processing function, micro printer output, automatic pendulum release control, automatic memory and display results, reducing human error.
4. Equipped with special test weight, built-in calibrating program, easy Measurement, calibrating department for calibrating, easy to operate.
Principle
The instrument uses the Optical inspection swirl/spin encoder to measure the swing angle position during tearing operation, apply force to the pre-cut sample, continue to tear to a certain length, and record the average value of the required force. The measurement result is expressed in mN according to the longitudinal or transverse direction of the initial cut of the sample, and the tearing index can be calculated.
Applications
Paper, Plastic film, Composite film, Spinning & weaving, Non-woven fabric
Standards
GB/T455、GB/T 16578.2、ISO1974、TAPPI T414 T496、DIN EN 21974、DIN EN ISO 6383-2、DIN EN ISO13937-1
Steps
1. Prepare the sample and make a pre-incision.
2. Install the specimen into the instrument paper holder.
3. Set the test parameters through the LCD Chinese interface.
4. Start the automatic test, the instrument automatically releases the pendulum and measurement.
5. The instrument automatically records and displays the results, which can be output through a micro printer.
6. If you need to calibrate, enter the calibrating program and screw the test weight into the calibrating screw hole to Indication Error calibrating.
Notice
Make sure the power supply is AC220V +/- 22V 50Hz 0.5A and is reliably grounded.
- When calibrating, use the attached test weight and follow the built-in calibrating procedure.
- Before testing, check whether the sample incision length and paper clip spacing meet the specifications.
- Avoid using the instrument in humid or vibrating environments to prevent affecting Test accuracy.
- Regular maintenance of instruments to ensure that Optical inspection swirl/spin encoders and Sensors are working properly.
