Principle
The MH180 Portable Leeb hardness tester works based on the Richter hardness measurement principle. Impact the surface of the specimen with a specific energy (11mJ) of the tungsten carbide ball head through an Impact device (e.g. D type), and measure the ratio of the rebound velocity of the Impact body to the Impact velocity at a distance of 1mm from the surface of the specimen. The Leeb hardness value can be calculated, and can be automatically converted to Brinell (HB), Rockwell (HRC/HRB/HRA), Vickers (HV), Shore (HS) and other hardness standards according to preset material parameters.
