The MH600 Leeb hardness tester works based on the Richter hardness measurement principle. The instrument uses the tungsten carbide ball head of the Impact device (e.g. D type) to impact the surface of the specimen with a certain energy (e.g. 11mJ), and measures the ratio of the rebound velocity of the Impact body to the Impact velocity at a distance of 1mm from the surface of the specimen.
