The Leeb hardness tester works based on the principle of Leeb hardness testing. The impact device ejects the tungsten carbide ball to the surface of the material to be tested, and the ratio of the rebound velocity of the impact body to the impact velocity at a distance of 1mm from the surface of the sample is measured. The ratio is related to the material's Leeb hardness value. The instrument automatically calculates and can be converted into Miscellaneous hardness scale or tensile strength value according to the preset program.
