Overview
The IPRE PRCT320N Coating thickness gauge is a precision measuring instrument using eddy Current thickness measurement method, which is dedicated to the measurement of film thickness of nonconductive coatings on nonmagnetic metal substrates. The instrument adopts a split design, the Sensor and the host are connected by leads, and it has a unique temperature compensation algorithm. It supports wireless Bluetooth communication and voice broadcast functions, and integrates various practical functions such as thermal printing, data statistics and storage.
Features
1. Using eddy Current thickness measurement method, the film thickness of the nonconductive coating layer on the nonmagnetic metal substrate can be measured.
2, split design, Sensor and instrument are connected by leads.
3, using a unique temperature compensation algorithm.
4, with continuous measurement (CONTINUE) and single measurement (SINGLE) two measurement methods.
5. Support wireless Bluetooth communication, with voice broadcast reading function.
6. Probe automatic identification.
7. Support thermal printing, allowing for instant output of reports.
8. With statistical functions, including average (MEAN), MAX Maximum (MAX), MIN Minimum (MIN), number of tests (NO.), Standard Deviation (S.DEV).
9, with storage function, can store 500 measurement values.
Principle
The instrument works on the principle of eddy Current thickness measurement. When the Probe of the instrument is close to the nonconductive coating on the metal substrate under test, the Probe coil generates a high-frequency electromagnetic field, which in turn induces the eddy Current in the metal matrix. The strength of the eddy Current is affected by the distance between the Probe and the substrate (i.e. the coating thickness). By measuring the change of this influence, the instrument can accurately calculate the film thickness of the coating.
Applications
Metal processing, chemical industry, commodity inspection, Eletroplating, lame plating, pipeline anticorrosion, Aluminum profile, steel structure, shipbuilding, aerospace, electric power, pot special inspection, technical supervision bureau
Steps
1. According to the measurement requirements, select single measurement (SINGLE) or continuous measurement (CONTINUE) mode.
2. Place the instrument Probe vertically on the surface of the coating to be tested.
3. Press the measurement button for measurement, and the instrument will display and broadcast the measurement results by voice.
4. The measurement data can be automatically stored, and the average, MAX Maximum, MIN Minimum, Standard Deviation and other information can be viewed through the statistical function.
5. The measurement report can be output instantly through Bluetooth connection or thermal printer.
Notice
• Before measurement, make sure that the Probe is connected to the instrument normally and has been automatically identified.
• When measuring, keep the Probe perpendicular to the measured surface and operate within the specified minimum measurement surface (φ 5mm) and minimum curvature radius (convex 3mm).
• The instrument is suitable for workpieces with the thinnest substrate Film thickness of 0.3mm.
• To ensure measurement accuracy, please pay attention to Ambient Temperature changes, and the built-in temperature compensation algorithm of the instrument can assist in correction.
• According to the accuracy requirements, you can choose a one-point calibrating or two-point calibrating method, and pay attention to the corresponding Indication Error range.
• Please charge the built-in rechargeable lithium battery regularly to ensure the normal use of the instrument.
The amount of data stored in the instrument is 500, please pay attention to exporting or managing the data in a timely manner.
