Overview
PRUT210 Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge is a High Accuracy Portable measurement equipment of IPRE brand, which is suitable for thickness measurement of metal, plastic, ceramic, Glass and other ultrasonic conductors. It is widely used in plate, pipe wall thickness, boiler container wall thickness and local corrosion and rust detection. It is essential for product inspection and equipment safety operation management in metallurgy, shipbuilding, machinery, chemical industry, electric power, atomic energy and other industrial sectors.
Features
1, suitable for measurement of metal (such as steel, cast iron, aluminum, copper, etc.), plastic, ceramic, Glass and Miscellaneous any ultrasonic conductor thickness;
2. With Probe automatic zero-point calibrating and two-point Adjustment, the system error can be automatically corrected;
3. The known thickness can measure the Speed of sound to improve the Measurement accuracy;
4. The upper and lower limits of the thickness value can be preset, and the automatic alarm will be issued if the range is exceeded.
5. It has a coupling status prompt function.
Principle
PRUT210 Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge works based on the principle of ultrasonic pulse reflection, emits ultrasonic waves through Probe and receives retracted waves, measures the propagation time of ultrasonic waves in the material to calculate the thickness, and has Automatic calibration and sound speed back measurement functions to improve accuracy.
Applications
Plate, pipe wall thickness, boiler container wall thickness, metallurgy, shipbuilding, machinery, chemical industry, electric power, atomic energy
Steps
1. Turn on and select Measurement mode;
2. Probe zero-point calibrating or two-point calibrating;
3. Set the thickness upper and lower limit alarm values;
4. Coupling the Probe to the surface of the tested material for measurement;
5. Read the thickness data on the display screen and adjust the operation according to the coupling status prompt.
Notice
• Ensure that the Probe is well coupled to the measured surface for accurate measurement;
• Regularly calibrate Probes to maintain Measurement accuracy;
Measurement range beyond the device will automatically alarm, need to check the settings or materials;
• Using the appropriate Speed of sound setting, the accuracy can be optimized by backtesting Speed of sound with known thickness;
• Pay attention to the battery level and replace it in time to ensure the normal operation of the equipment.
