Principle
The instrument uses a motor to drive a rotor to swirl/spin at a constant speed in the liquid to be measured. The rotor swirl/spin is subjected to a viscous resistance of the liquid, which is proportional to the viscosity of the liquid. The instrument measures this resistance moment and converts it into a viscosity value, which is indicated by the hands on the dial.
