Principle

The Viscometer characterizes the viscosity of the paint by measuring the time (seconds) required for a volume of paint (100ml) to flow out of a standard cup through an outflow hole of a specified diameter (4mm). The longer the outflow time, the higher the viscosity of the paint.

Steps

1. Viscometer cleaning and drying. 2. Plug the outflow hole with your finger and pour the paint to be tested into the cup until it is full. 3. Start timing while removing your finger, and record the continuous flow of paint from the outflow hole until the streamer is interrupted for the first time. 4. The time (seconds) is the measurement result.
