Overview
The QBB-100 Coating Specific Gravity Cup is a special testing instrument designed and manufactured by SHIBO according to the GB6750-86 standard, which is used to determine the density (specific gravity) of liquid Paints, varnishes and related products at the specified temperature. The product is made of aluminum alloy and has a volume of 100ml, which is suitable for accurate density measurement needs.
Features
1. Designed and manufactured according to the national standard GB6750-86 to ensure measurement accuracy
2. Made of aluminum alloy, the structure is sturdy and durable
3. Standard volume of 100ml to meet routine testing requirements
4. Suitable for density determination of liquid Paints, varnishes and related products
Principle
The Coating Specific Gravity Cup calculates density by measuring the mass difference between the cup body of a known volume before and after filling the sample. Calculations are made according to the formula p1 = (m2-m0)/V, where p1 is density, m2 is the Specific Gravity Cup and the sample mass, m0 is the empty Specific Gravity Cup mass, and V is the volume of the Specific Gravity Cup. When higher accuracy is required, the Specific Gravity Cup volume can also be calculated by the formula V = (m1-m0)/p.
Applications
Paints, varnishes and related products - Determination of density
Standards
GB6750-86、GB3186-82
Steps
1. Clean the Specific Gravity Cup with a flux that does not leave residue after evaporation and dry it
2. Weigh the Specific Gravity Cup (with cover) at room temperature, the difference between the two weighing data must not be greater than 0.5mg
3. Fill the distillation water with no more than 1 ° C below the test temperature, place it in thermostatic conditions until the temperature is constant, and wipe off the spill and external moisture
4. Immediately weigh the Specific Gravity Cup filled with distillation water to 0.001% of its mass
5. Using the sample instead of distillation water repeability above operation steps
6. Calculate the sample density according to the formula p1 = (m2-m0)/V
Notice
• Specific Gravity Cup needs to be cleaned and put into the box after use
Should be stored in a room temperature environment
• Strictly prevent bubbles during measurement
• If the Measurement accuracy is very high, the Specific Gravity Cup volume should be calculated in stages
