Overview
The NIRUN FDV-C Simple Starch Viscosity-Tester is a dedicated measuring instrument conforming to the national standard GB/T 1 2098-89 for the viscosity measurement of starch at a single point temperature. The instrument is equipped with a dedicated starch F1 rotor, a 10ml sample volume measurement cylinder (SSR system with PT100 temperature Probe) and a host, and its temperature control needs to be realized through the optional thermostatic water tank.
Features
1. Meet the national standard GB/T 1 2098-89 standard.
2. Equipped with a dedicated starch F1 rotor, it is highly targeted.
3. Provide 30, 75, 100, 150 rpm fixed Rotor speed.
4. The measurement accuracy is +/- 2% F.S. and the reproducibility is +/- 1% F.S.
5. Support optional thermostatic sink (CH-1006N) for precise temperature control.
6. Support optional micro printers for easy data recording.
Principle
The instrument calculates the viscosity value of the sample by driving a dedicated F1 rotor to swirl/spin in the starch sample and measuring the Tack resistance of the rotor at a specific speed (30, 75, 100 or 150 rpm). The measurement process is carried out in a constant temperature environment provided by the thermostatic sink to ensure accuracy and comparability of measurement results.
Applications
Starch viscosity measurement
Steps
Prepare the sample and ensure that the sample size is approximately 10 milliliters.
2. Adjust the optional thermostatic sink to the required measurement temperature and keep it stable.
3. Place the measurement cartridge containing the sample (with PT100 Temperature Probe) in the thermostatic sink to bring the sample to the set temperature.
4. Install the dedicated F1 rotor onto the main unit and immerse the sample at the specified mark.
According to the measurement requirements, select the appropriate speed gear (30, 75, 100 or 150 rpm) on the host.
6. Start the measurement and record the viscosity value after the reading stabilizes.
7. After the measurement is completed, clean the rotor and measurement cylinder.
Notice
• This instrument needs to be used with a thermostatic sink to achieve temperature control, and the thermostatic sink is an optional accessory.
• Ensure that the sample temperature has reached and stabilized at the set value before measurement.
• Please select the appropriate speed gear for measurement according to the estimated viscosity range of the sample.
• After use, the rotor and measurement cylinder should be cleaned in time to prevent the sample residue from affecting the subsequent measurement accuracy.
• The measurement range of the instrument is 100~ 5000mPa · s, please ensure that the viscosity of the sample to be tested is within this range.
• The reproducibility is +/- 1% F.S. and the measurement accuracy is +/- 2% F.S.
