Overview
The NIRUN RDV-E digital Viscometer is a digital viscosity measurement instrument with direct drive of stepper motor, gearless design, and accurate speed. The instrument has an LCD liquid crystal with blue backlight display, which is informative and can continuously display the viscosity value, shear rate and shear stress, and can display the maximum viscosity value of the rotor measurable at the current speed. Standard RTD temperature Probe and bidirectional RS232 or 485 interface, support computer full scale linear correction.

Principle
The Viscometer directly drives the rotor to swirl/spin in the liquid to be tested by a stepper motor. When the rotor swirl/spin is subjected to the Tack resistance of the liquid, torque is generated. Sensors inside the instrument (such as beryllium bronze torque material) detect this torque, and the microcomputer control system calculates the viscosity value of the liquid according to the torque, rotor specification and speed, and displays it continuously through the LCD display. At the same time, the system can calculate and display the shear rate and shear stress.
