Principle

The Viscometer works on the principle of the coating 4 cup method and characterizes the kinematic viscosity of a fluid by measuring the time it takes for a volume (100 ml) of fluid to completely flow out of an outlet of a specific pore size under standard conditions.

Applications

Suitable for determining the kinematic viscosity of Newtonian or near-Newtonian fluid coatings, can be compared and measured as needed

Steps

Ensure that the Ambient Temperature meets the requirements (25 +/- 1 ℃). 2. Inject the paint sample to be tested into a 100 ml volume cup in the Viscometer. 3. Open the outlet and start the timer at the same time. 4. Observe the sample outflow, stop timing when the sample streamer is cut off for the first time, and record the outflow time. 5. Calculate or evaluate the viscosity according to the outflow time (should be in the range of 30 to 100 seconds).
