Overview
The US Leneta Form N2A-2 is an unsealed Opacity Chart with a two-tone design of top black and bottom white. It is designed for industries such as cartons, with unsealed surfaces to meet the needs of specific industries for paint or inks Permeability testing.
Features
1. The surface is unsealed, suitable for specific industries (such as cartons) that need to test the permeability of coatings.
2. Adopt black and white two-color design to facilitate hiding power comparison measurement.
3. Compliant with ASTM D 1653 standard.
Principle
The Opacity Chart is used to quantify the hiding power of paint or inks through its black-and-white contrasting areas. Spreader the paint evenly on the paper, and after drying, calculate the hiding power percentage by measuring the reflectance ratio (Y black/Y white * 100%) of the black area and the white area after film, 100% represents complete covering.
Applications
Paints/inks hiding power measurement, carton industry
Steps
1. Spreader paint evenly on the Opacity Chart by following the film steps.
2. After the film is fully dried by air, the instrument is used for objective evaluation.
3. The hiding power value can be measured and automatically displayed within 1 second.
Notice
* The surface of this product is unsealed and has good anti-Permeability, which is suitable for the testing needs of specific industries such as cartons.
* Spreader test, make sure that the paint is evenly Spreader and fully dried before measurement.
* The hiding power test method can also be extended to cover rate detection of transparent films and plastic products.
