Overview
KOSON KS-35 split steel bar scanner is a professional instrument for nondestructive inspection of concrete structures. It is mainly used to detect the position, distribution direction, protective layer Film thickness and steel bar diameter of steel bars, and has data storage, viewing and transmission functions. It is suitable for construction mass acceptance and inspection of buildings, bridges, tunnels and other engineering structures.
Features
1. Adopt split design, flexible operation.
2. Use the electromagnetic pulse method with super anti-interference ability for non-destructive testing.
3. Film thickness measurement with dual range protective layer, the first range 6~ 90mm, the second range 7~ 220mm.
4. Wide measurement range of steel diameter, covering 6~ 50mm.
5. Equipped with a large-size display (160 x 128mm), the data is clearly displayed.
6. Built-in rechargeable battery, long battery life, power supply time up to 50 hours.
7. Probe is compact (105 x 55 x 30mm), making it easy to use on site.
Principle
The KOSON KS-35 split bar scanner works on the principle of electromagnetic induction. The instrument emits electromagnetic pulses into the concrete through Probe. When the pulses encounter the bar, an induced current is generated. By receiving and analyzing these induced signals, the instrument determines the position of the bar, the film thickness of the protective layer, and estimates the diameter of the bar rather than being damaged.
Applications
Reinforcement inspection in concrete structure engineering, construction mass acceptance inspection of concrete structure of building houses, reinforcement inspection in bridges and tunnels
Standards
"Concrete structure engineering construction mass acceptance code" GB 50204-2015, "concrete structure site detection technology standard" GBT50784-2013, "concrete reinforcement detection technology regulations" JGJ/T152-2008, "building structure detection technology standard" GB/T50344-2004, "Electromagnetic induction method for detecting steel protective layer Film thickness and steel diameter technical regulations" DB11/T365-2006, "steel protective layer Thickness measurement instrument, floor Thickness measurement instrument Measurement calibrated specification" JJF1224-2009
Steps
1. Turn it on and check the power of the instrument.
2. Instrument setting according to detection requirements (such as protective layer Film thickness range).
3. Probe smoothly bonded to the surface of the concrete structure.
4. Slowly move the Probe to scan and observe the signal changes displayed on the screen to locate the reinforcement.
5. Accurate measurement is carried out directly above the steel bar, and the film thickness and steel bar diameter data of the protective layer are read.
6. Store the detection data.
7. After the test is completed, the data can be exported through the data transfer function.
Notice
• Please use in an environment with operating temperature -10 ℃~ + 40 ℃, relative humidity < 90% RH, no corrosive gas and no strong electromagnetic interference.
• Before measurement, it should be calibrated on a standard test block with known parameters to ensure measurement accuracy.
• Probes must be firmly attached to the concrete surface during measurement to avoid shaking or tilting.
• Pay attention to distinguish the measurement range, the protective layer Film thickness measurement error increases with the increase of Film thickness, please refer to the MPE range in the specification parameters.
• Steel diameter measurement results are estimates with an error of +/- 1.
• Regularly charge and maintain the instrument to ensure battery life.
• Measurement calibrating shall be carried out in accordance with the "JJF1224-2009" specification.
