Overview
The SMART SENSOR AS8203 Infrared Thermometer is a medium and low temperature model that realizes non-contact temperature measurement through infrared induction and Optical inspection principles. Compared with traditional contact thermometers, it has the advantages of fast temperature measurement response, high accuracy, no contact, and no consumables. It is widely used in Chemistry, environment testing, heating and cooling, nondestructive testing and other industries.

Principle
The Infrared Thermometer works on the principle of infrared sensing and Optical inspection. All objects emit infrared radiation, the intensity of which is related to the surface temperature of the object. The instrument receives infrared radiation with a wavelength of 8 to 14 μm emitted by the target object through the Sensor, converts it into an electrical signal, and displays the surface temperature value of the object after internal processing and calculation.

Steps
1. Load a 9V battery.
2. Turn on the power switch.
3. According to the material of the object to be measured, set the appropriate emissivity within the range of 0.10 to 1.00.
4. Aim the laser aiming point at the surface of the object to be measured, and keep the distance between the instrument and the target in line with the object distance ratio requirement of 12:1.
5. Press the measurement button to measure the temperature and read the temperature value on the display screen.
Notice
* Do not aim the laser directly at the eye or indirectly into the eye through the reflection surface.
* Ensure that the measurement path is clear and avoid steam, dust and other media affecting the measurement accuracy.
* When measuring bright or polished metal surfaces, special stickers or emissivity adjustments are required to obtain accurate readings.
* The instrument is only used for the measurement of the surface temperature of the object, not the internal temperature measurement.
* Avoid long-term use or storage in extreme temperatures, humid or dusty environments.
* Regularly check the battery power, insufficient power may affect the measurement accuracy.
When cleaning the lens, please use a soft cotton cloth to gently wipe it to avoid the use of corrosive cleaners.
