Overview
SMART SENSOR AS931 Coating thickness gauge is a magnetic thickness measuring instrument that can quickly, non-destructive and accurate measurement of film thickness of nonmagnetic coatings (such as paints, platings, etc.) on ferromagnetic metal substrates. It is widely used in manufacturing, metal processing, chemical industry and commodity inspection and other inspection fields.

Principle
This product uses magnetic thickness measurement (magnetic Induction principle) to accurately calculate the Film thickness of nonmagnetic coatings on the substrate by measuring the change of magnetic flux between Probe and ferromagnetic metal substrate.

Steps
1. Turn on and select measurement mode (single, continuous or deviation).
2. System calibrate (zero point calibrate, two point calibrate or basic calibrate) as required.
3. Place Probe vertically on the surface of the coating to be tested for measurement.
4. Read the measurement results on the LCD display.
5. Data can be stored, viewed, deleted, or statistically analyzed.
6. After use, the device is equipped with an automatic shutdown function to save power.
Notice
• Before measurement, calibrate the system as needed to ensure measurement accuracy.
• Ensure that Probe is in vertical and stable contact with the coating surface under test during measurement.
• Please pay attention to the battery power, and replace the battery in time when the power is low.
• This instrument is suitable for nonmagnetic coating measurement on ferromagnetic metal substrates, do not use for Miscellaneous materials.
• The stored measurement data can be managed, including deleting single suspicious data or emptying all data.
