Overview
The SMART SENSOR AS8404 Oxygen Detector is a Portable Gas detection instrument mainly used to detect oxygen concentration in the environment. It uses an electrochemistry gas Sensor for fast Response, accurate measurement of oxygen concentration in the range of 0 to 25%, and has a sound and light alarm function, which is suitable for a variety of situations where oxygen content needs to be monitored.
Features
Dedicated to oxygen (O2) concentration detection, measurement range 0~ 25%, resolution 0.1%.
Sensors based on electrochemistry have a service life of about two years.
3. Equipped with dual alarm functions of sound and light, the alarm value can be set, and the alarm volume can reach 80 decibels.
4. Built-in temperature measurement function.
5. Response Time and Recovery Time ≤ 15 seconds, fast response.
6. Portable design, weight only 170 grams, small size, easy to carry.
7. Powered by a 3.7V lithium battery.
8. Strong environmental adaptability, temperature range -10~ 50 ℃, humidity range 0~ 95% RH (no condensation).
Principle
The detector works based on the principle of Electrochemical sensor. The detection element in the Sensor reacts chemically with the target gas (oxygen) to generate an electrical signal proportional to the concentration of the gas. By processing the electrical signal, the instrument calculates the specific concentration value of oxygen in the environment and displays it on the display screen. When the concentration exceeds or falls below the preset alarm value, the instrument will trigger a sound and light alarm.
Applications
Industrial safety, confined space operations, mines, fire protection, environmental monitoring, laboratories
Standards
The data did not mention specific compliance criteria.
Steps
1. Power on: Long press the power button to start the instrument.
2. Warm up: Wait for the instrument to self-test and stabilize the reading.
3. Settings: Enter the menu to set parameters such as alarm values as needed.
4. Detection: Place the instrument in the environment to be tested and observe the oxygen concentration and temperature readings on the display screen.
5. Alarm Response: When the concentration exceeds the standard to trigger the alarm, the corresponding measures need to be taken according to the safety procedures.
6. Shutdown: Press the power button for a long time to turn off the instrument, or the instrument will automatically shut down after a period of inoperation.
Notice
Do not use this instrument in an environment that exceeds the specified temperature and humidity range.
• Avoid severe impact or falling of the instrument.
Sensors have a lifespan of about two years and need to be calibrated or replaced periodically to ensure measurement accuracy.
The alarm function needs to set the alarm threshold correctly according to the actual application scenario.
When the battery is low, it should be charged promptly.
This instrument is a safety accessory and cannot replace the necessary safety operating procedures.
• Do not disassemble or modify the instrument yourself.
