Overview
The SMART SENSOR AS8903A hydrogen sulfide detector is a Portable/Handheld Gas detection instrument that uses a combination of diffusion and pump-suction detection methods. The instrument is mainly used to detect the leakage concentration of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) gas in the environment. Its core component is an electrochemistry gas Sensor, which can effectively monitor the gas composition and content, providing protection for safe operation.
Features
1. Both diffusion and pump-suction detection modes are available to adapt to different detection scenarios.
2. Sensor based on electrochemistry principle is sensitive and accurate to hydrogen sulfide gas.
3. With sound and light dual alarm function, with low and high alarm points, the warning effect is remarkable.
4. The body is light and portable, the weight is only 200g, the dimensions are 120 * 64 * 38mm, easy to carry and operate.
5. Powered by 3.7V lithium battery, with good battery life.
6. Strong environmental adaptability, can work stably in the temperature of -10~ 50 ℃ and the humidity range of 15~ 95% RH.
Principle
The core of the detector is the electrochemistry gas Sensor. The Sensor generates an electrical signal proportional to the gas concentration by a specific electrochemistry reaction with hydrogen sulfide (H2S) gas in the tested environment. The circuitry inside the instrument processes and amplifies the signal, and finally displays the real-time gas concentration in numerical form (0~ 500ppm, resolution 1%) on the display screen. When the concentration reaches a preset low or high alarm threshold, the instrument triggers an acoustic and optical alarm to alert.
Applications
Petrochemicals, sewage treatment, municipal pipe network, mining, environment monitoring, emergency rescue, laboratory safety
Standards

Steps
1. Press the power button for a long time to turn it on, wait for the instrument to self-test and enter a stable working state.
2. According to the detection requirements, choose the diffusion type (natural diffusion) or pump suction type (active pumping) detection mode.
3. Place the instrument Probe in the area to be tested and observe the real-time concentration reading on the display.
4. If the concentration exceeds the standard to trigger the alarm, safety measures need to be taken immediately and evacuated.
5. After use, press the power button to shut down.
Notice
Do not use in environments beyond the specified temperature and humidity range (-10~ 50 ℃, 15~ 95% RH), so as not to affect the detection accuracy or damage the instrument.
• Avoid severe impact or drop of the instrument to prevent damage to the Sensor and internal components.
• Periodically calibrated to ensure accuracy and reliability of test data.
• When the low battery alarm prompts, the instrument should be charged in time.
• When the instrument alarms, it indicates that the hydrogen sulfide concentration in the environment may have reached a dangerous level, and the operator should promptly dispose of it in accordance with safety procedures.
• This instrument is a professional testing equipment, and non-professionals should not disassemble or repair it without authorization.
