Principle
In electrolysis solution, charged ions move under the action of an electric field to transfer current. Its conductive ability is expressed by the degree of Conductivity detector G, and the value is the inverse of the resistance (G = 1/R). During the test, Electrode, which is composed of two metal plates, is inserted into the solution to form a Conductivity detector cell, and the resistance between the two plates is measured. According to Ohm's law, the resistance value is proportional to the distance L of the plate and inversely proportional to the plate area A (R = p • L/A). Conductivity K is the inverse of the resistivity γ (K = 1/p), Electrode constant J = L/A, and finally K = G • J.
DDS-307 Conductivity Meter generates an AC voltage applied to the Electrode by Shaker (to avoid Electrode polarization), Conductivity detector cell generates a current proportional to the conductivity of the solution to be measured, the current - voltage conversion, amplification, detection becomes a DC voltage, through temperature compensation after A/D converter into a digital signal, displayed by a microcomputer, the whole process is controlled and processed by a microcomputer.
Steps
1. Connect Electrode and Power Supply (DC9V Adapter)
2. Insert Electrode into the solution to be tested
3. Instrument automatic measurement and temperature compensation
4. Read the conductivity Measured value on the display
5. Instrument automatically stores measurement data (Number, Measured value, Measurement unit and temperature value)
6. Historical data can be viewed through the storage function
Notice
• Make sure Electrode is clean before use
• Electrode should be completely immersed in solution during measurement
• Pay attention to choose the appropriate Electrode constant specification (0.1, 1, 10)
• Measurement accuracy may be affected beyond the temperature compensation range of 0~ 50 ℃
Periodically calibrate instruments to ensure measurement accuracy
• Pay attention to the corresponding number when storing data, which is convenient for follow-up tracking
• Clean Electrode in time after use and store it properly
