Leather—Tests for colour fastness—Colour fastness to crocking

This standard provides a uniform test method for determining the color fastness to rubbing on the surface of various colored leathers. Its core involves using a reciprocating friction color fastness tester to drive a friction head covered with standard white cotton fabric to perform reciprocating rubbing on the leather sample surface under specified pressure and stroke. After completing the dry or wet rubbing test, the staining on the white fabric is compared with the standard staining gray scale through colorimetric means to assess the grade, thereby evaluating the durability of the leather color.
