Textiles - Tests for colour fastness - Colour fastness to spotting: acid

GB/T 5715-2013 "Textiles - Tests for colour fastness - Colour fastness to acid spotting" specifies a test method for determining the resistance of dyed textiles to localized damage by dilute acetic acid solution. Acid solution is applied dropwise to the specimen, and after removal of the droplet and drying, the degree of colour change at that location is assessed using a grey scale. This simulates the colour fastness of textiles when exposed to acidic substances, such as vinegar or fruit juice.
