GB/T 7991.4-2019 "Test methods for vitreous and porcelain enamels — Part 4: Determination of resistance to mechanical impact" is applicable to vitreous enamel plate specimens. It specifies the test principle, equipment, procedures, and requirements for result evaluation. The core equipment includes an impact testing device with an electromagnetic release mechanism, a steel ball with a specified diameter of 30 mm, an analytical balance with an accuracy of 0.1 mg, and a laser rangefinder. By adjusting the drop height of the steel ball to impact the specimen, the height at which damage occurs is recorded, and the impact energy is calculated. The average value from three specimens is taken as the result to evaluate the resistance of the vitreous enamel layer to mechanical impact.
