GB/T 5137.4-2020 specifies nine solar energy characteristic test methods for automotive safety glass, including solar ultraviolet, visible, and infrared transmittance, reflectance, and absorptance, applicable for evaluating the solar energy performance of automotive safety glass. Testing must be conducted under environmental conditions of 20℃±5℃ and relative humidity of 30%–60%, primarily using instruments such as spectrophotometers, solar simulators, and integrating spheres. Through standardized procedures, spectral data are accurately collected and relevant indicators are calculated. This standard replaces the previous version and provides a unified basis for assessing the energy-saving and thermal insulation performance of automotive glass, contributing to improved driving comfort and vehicle energy consumption control.
