Test method of artificial leather and synthetic leather—Determination of rubbing resistance

This standard applies to artificial leather, synthetic leather, and their finished products, specifying the requirements for determining rub resistance, covering core aspects such as sample preparation, test procedures, and result evaluation. Samples must be conditioned in a standard environment before being punched and cut. Two samples are then aligned and loaded into a fixture for reciprocating rubbing under specified load, frequency, and stroke. The evaluation is based on whether surface cracks, damage, or coating separation occur. Relevant testing instruments include a rub resistance tester with adjustable fixture spacing and load (frequency 120±3 cycles/min), a punching cutter with dimensions (120±2) mm × (30±0.3) mm, and a 4-6× magnifying glass for result observation, ensuring the standardization and accuracy of the test.
