GB/T 38017-2019
Footwear and footwear components—Test method to assess antibacterial activity

This standard specifies a quantitative evaluation method for the antibacterial performance of footwear and footwear components. It applies to various types of footwear and components treated with non-leaching antibacterial agents, covering key aspects such as sample preparation, test conditions, operational procedures, and result determination. The performance is assessed by calculating the antibacterial rate or antibacterial activity value after exposing the samples to test bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli through methods like bacterial suspension absorption, membrane contact, or oscillation. Relevant testing instruments include a laminar flow cabinet, constant temperature incubator, vortex oscillator, and colony counter, paired with consumables such as sterile wide-mouth bottles, pipettes, and nutrient agar medium to ensure a sterile testing environment and result accuracy.
