This standard specifies a series of determination methods for the coating performance of color-coated steel sheets and strips. The test content includes coating thickness measurement, gloss and color difference determination, coating adhesion and mechanical performance tests (such as bending, impact, cross-cut, cupping, and pencil hardness tests), as well as environmental aging resistance tests (such as salt spray resistance, cyclic corrosion resistance, damp heat resistance, xenon lamp, and ultraviolet lamp accelerated aging tests). The standard involves a variety of testing instruments, mainly including magnetic/eddy current thickness gauges for thickness measurement, gloss meters for gloss measurement, colorimeters for color difference evaluation, bending testers and impact testers for mechanical performance assessment, as well as salt spray test chambers (especially cyclic corrosion salt spray chambers for newly added cyclic corrosion tests), xenon lamp aging chambers, and ultraviolet lamp aging chambers for corrosion and aging performance testing.
