Test method for building sealants-Part 2:Determination of density

This standard specifies two specific methods for determining the density of sealants used in building and civil engineering, namely the "metal ring method" and the "metal mold frame method." The metal ring method is applicable to non-sag sealants, while the metal mold frame method is suitable for both non-sag and self-leveling sealants. The principle of both methods involves accurately measuring the mass and volume of sealant samples of standard shapes. Key equipment required for conducting these tests includes brass rings (or metal rings) and metal mold frames for preparing standard-volume samples, as well as a balance with an accuracy of 0.01 g for weighing.
