Test methods for aluminium and aluminium alloy foils—Part 2: Determination of pinhole

This is a general standard specifying the method for detecting minute pinholes on the surface of aluminum foil. It is applicable for determining the number and diameter of pinholes in aluminum foil. The principle of the method involves utilizing the light transmittance of pinholes, observing and measuring them under specific light sources and illumination conditions (with an illuminance of 1000 lx to 1500 lx on the detection surface). The detection involves two core types of instruments: one is the pinhole box (or pinhole detection platform) used to create a standardized observation environment and facilitate counting; the other is a reading microscope used for precise measurements, typically with a magnification ranging from 10× to 20×.
