This standard is part of a series of test methods and specifies the procedure for determining the bending stiffness of woven reinforcement fabrics. The core of the method involves using a specialized fabric stiffness tester (also known as a fixed-angle flexometer), where the specimen is placed on a platform and slowly pushed forward until it bends under its own weight and contacts a slanted surface with a specific inclination angle (e.g., 41.5°). By measuring the extended length at this point (i.e., the bending length), the flexural rigidity and stiffness of the woven fabric are calculated and evaluated. It should be noted that this method is not applicable to fabrics that are inherently very soft, prone to significant curling or twisting, or have undergone wear. It provides a basis for quality control and performance evaluation of reinforcement fabrics.
