GB/T 12416.2-1990
Glass--Hydrolytic resistance ofglass grains at 121℃--Test method and classification

This standard specifies an accelerated test method for evaluating the resistance of glass materials to water erosion. The principle involves exposing glass particles of a specific particle size to pure water under high-pressure steam at (121±1)°C for (30±1) minutes, followed by acid-base titration to determine the amount of alkali leached out, thereby characterizing the chemical stability of glass under water action. This method is primarily applicable to glass with strong water resistance, such as borosilicate glass. It should be noted that this standard will be entirely replaced by GB/T 12416-2025.
