GB/T 15903-2025
Test methods for flame resistance of pressure sensitive adhesive tapes

This standard provides a comprehensive test method for determining the fire resistance performance of pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes (hereinafter referred to as "adhesive tapes"). It integrates and expands upon the previous single-method versions, specifying a total of six different test methods to comprehensively evaluate the combustion behavior of adhesive tapes under various conditions. These methods include: the suspension test method, the flat placement test method, the winding test method, the horizontal burning test method, the vertical burning test method, and the roll test method. These approaches simulate the different forms of adhesive tapes in practical applications (such as free suspension, adhesion to substrate surfaces, winding around objects, or storage in rolls), enabling a multi-angle evaluation of their flame-retardant properties. Depending on the specific method selected, corresponding testing equipment such as combustion test chambers, gas burners, timers, and specialized fixtures are utilized.
