This standard specifies a method for determining the total polymer, carbon black, and mineral filler content in solvent-extracted rubber materials (including hydrocarbon rubbers, halogenated rubbers, and polysiloxane rubbers) using thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The core principle is to precisely measure the continuous mass change of a sample under programmed temperature control in a specific atmosphere (e.g., nitrogen, air) due to the thermal decomposition of its components using a thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA). Based on the obtained "thermogravimetric curve," the mass fractions of each component are calculated. This method is widely applicable and can be used for raw rubber, compounded rubber, and vulcanized rubber.
