GB/T 17737.324-2018
Coaxial communication cables—Part 1-324: Mechanical test methods—Test for abrasion resistance of cable

This standard is one of a series of mechanical test methods, which specifies in detail the test method for evaluating the abrasion resistance of the outer sheath of coaxial communication cables by scraping the sheath surface. During the test, a specialized cable abrasion test device (also known as a scraping test device) is required. This device enables a blade to scrape the sheath along the cable axis under set pressure and frequency. A cable sample approximately 750 mm in length is clamped onto the base and stabilized at a specific temperature before testing. The abrasion resistance is ultimately evaluated based on the number of complete friction cycles when the blade wears through the cable sheath and the device automatically stops.
