Paints and varnishes - Determination of resistance to filiform corrosion on aluminium and aluminium alloys

GB/T 26323-2010 "Paints and varnishes - Filiform corrosion test on steel substrates" specifies the test and evaluation methods for the resistance of such coatings to filiform corrosion, applicable to related coatings on aluminum and aluminum alloy surfaces. During testing, the specimen is first scratched, then treated with saturated hydrochloric acid vapor, and placed in a test chamber maintained at (40±2)℃ and a relative humidity of (82±5)% for curing. Instruments such as constant temperature and humidity test chambers, specialized scratching tools, and hydrochloric acid-resistant sealed containers are required. The protective performance of the coating is determined by evaluating the condition of the corrosion filaments.
