    Powder dyes―Determination of fineness by sieve analysis

    GB/T 2383-2014 "Determination of Fineness by Sieving of Powder Dyes" specifies the methods for determining the sieve fineness of various powdered organic dyes, including manual sieving and vibrating sieve methods. The test requires the use of an analytical balance with a sensitivity not greater than 0.0001g, standard sieves with specified aperture sizes, and an automatic standard vibrating sieve machine with a shaking frequency of 221 times/min and a vibrating frequency of 147 times/min. The fineness is calculated by weighing the mass of the sieve residue, and the results must be rounded according to the rules. This standard is applicable to the quality control and testing of powdered dye products.
