GB/T 28218-2011 "Pulp—Determination of fiber length by image analysis" specifies the image analysis method for determining the fiber length of pulp, which is applicable to all types of pulp. The pulp sample is dispersed to form a suspension, and fiber images are captured using an image analyzer. Software is then used to measure fiber length, width, and length distribution. The standard clarifies requirements for sample preparation, dispersion conditions, instrument calibration, and the minimum number of valid fibers counted (no fewer than 200). Results are expressed in terms of weight-weighted average length, number-weighted average length, and other indicators to ensure accurate determination of fiber length.
