GB/T 2423.54-2022 "Environmental testing—Part 2: Test methods—Test Xc: Fluid contamination" was released in July 2022 and implemented in February 2023, replacing the 2005 edition and equivalently adopting the international standard. This standard specifies test methods for components, equipment, and materials exposed to accidental contact with fluids, covering common test fluids such as mineral oils and cleaning liquids. It defines three contamination test procedures—occasional, intermittent, and continuous—along with key parameters such as temperature and time. The standard introduces new terminology and specifications for multiple types of fluids. It is not applicable to products intended for continuous contact with fluids. It provides a unified basis for contamination-resistant design and quality testing of products in fields such as electronics, machinery, and automotive, ensuring protection against fluid contamination during actual use.
