GB/T 40024-2021 "Laboratory Instruments and Equipment - Classification Method" was released on April 30, 2021, and implemented on November 1, 2021. It specifies the terms and definitions, principles, methods, and specific classification content for the classification of laboratory instruments and equipment. This standard is applicable to the classification management of such instruments and equipment and their dedicated components, excluding conventional tools and physical measuring instruments. The standard adopts a hierarchical classification system, with the first-level classification comprising 17 categories, including analytical instruments, optical instruments, heating and refrigeration equipment, etc. It clarifies the expression of classification relationships and coding rules, uses UML class diagrams to associate equipment and category relationships, and provides a unified basis for the management, selection, statistics, and standardization of laboratory instruments and equipment.
