It outlines key verification items, including the geometric shape and extension length of the indentor, the geometric shape of the presser foot, the scale of the indicating device, and the applied force of the measuring spring. Additionally, the standard clarifies the verification methods, equipment requirements, judgment rules, and a biennial verification cycle. It also standardizes the essential content of verification reports, providing a unified technical basis for factory inspection, type inspection, and periodic inspection of Shore durometers, thereby ensuring the accuracy and consistency of hardness measurement results.
