Principle
The working principle of the paint film T-bending machine is based on mechanical bending test. The instrument typically comes with a set of precision-machined bending dies, including a pressure arm that rotates around the axis and a range of standard gaskets with varying thicknesses. During the test, the painted sample is placed on the machine and bent 180 degrees around itself by the bending arm so that the coating is in a tensile state on the outside. Subsequently, a gradually thickening gasket is inserted into the bend to gradually reduce the bend radius until the coating first cracks or peels off under a microscope or visual observation. For example, "0T" means that the coating is intact after bending directly without a gasket, "1T" means that the coating is intact after bending with a gasket of the same thickness as the substrate, and so on.
