Proofing tinplate

Proofing tinplate is a testing method that involves applying coatings or inks onto tin-plated steel sheets and then baking them to form a film. The principle is to simulate the surface of metal packaging using tinplate as the substrate, and observe the performance of the coating, such as adhesion and color, after application and curing. Its purpose is to provide proofing verification for metal packaging such as cans and barrels. Applications include process debugging and quality control for interior coatings of food cans, chemical barrels, and other similar products.
Selection
When selecting tinplate for proofing, it is essential to consider the compatibility of substrate thickness and hardness with the actual packaging requirements. The tin coating quantity affects the adhesion of the coating, while flatness ensures uniform coating application. Priority should be given to tin layer specifications consistent with the production batch. Additionally, ensure the tinplate surface is free from oil stains and oxidation, the dimensions are cut to meet the requirements of the proofing equipment, and proper storage measures are taken to prevent moisture and deformation.
