Motion Balance

The motion balance calculates the settling velocity of particles by measuring the real-time weight change of an object as it settles in a fluid. It is used to determine the particle size distribution of pigments or fillers in samples such as coatings and inks. During operation, the sample is placed in the fluid, and the variation curve of the balance reading over time during the settling process is recorded.
Selection
When selecting a sedimentation balance, it is important to consider matching the sample characteristics with the sedimentation medium, ensuring the measurement range covers the particle sizes to be tested, verifying that the balance sensitivity meets accuracy requirements, confirming that temperature control functions are suitable for the material properties, ensuring the data acquisition system can fully record the sedimentation process, and making sure the operation interface aligns with user habits.
