Dial Membrane Thickness Meter

The dial thickness gauge measures coating thickness through mechanical contact. The probe touches the sample surface, and spring pressure drives the probe to penetrate the coating down to the substrate. The penetration distance displayed by the dial pointer corresponds to the coating thickness value. It is used for measuring the thickness of soft coatings such as paint and electroplated layers.
Selection
When selecting a dial thickness gauge, consider matching the measurement range to the sample thickness, with a common range of 0-2000 μm. Ensure the probe pressure is suitable for the coating type to avoid damaging soft coatings. Check the clarity of the dial scale and the stability of the pointer's zero return. Choose a flat or curved measuring head based on the sample shape, and select the appropriate model for ferrous or non-ferrous materials. Regularly calibrate with standard blocks to ensure accuracy.
